Influence Mechanism of Ce<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> on Dephosphorization Process using CaO–Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>–SiO<sub>2</sub>–MnO Based Slag

To improve the dephosphorization capacity of CaO–Al2O3–SiO2–MnO based ferromanganese slag, this work attempts to introduce Ce2O3 as a strong phosphorus fixative into and influence mechanism on process is investigated by thermodynamic analysis, structural melting temperature, viscosity tests. The results show that after adding 20 mass% can release O2− promote P-O0 bond P-O− transformation, thus improving fixation melted slag. Also, enrichment phases are nCa2SiO3–Ca3P2O8 solid solution CePO4 phase in Ce2O3-containing slow cooling Furthermore, temperature slag with 0–20 addition always about 1623 K, but increases obviously when exceeds mass%. appropriate content decrease remain relatively low 15 mass%–25 Ce2O3. In conclusion, ameliorate fluidity consequently, it conducive remove from ferromanganese. Finally, high-temperature experiments were carried out, lowest [P] decreases 0.31% 0.25%, rate 31.1% 45.6%. above not only verify feasibility used also provide theoretical guidance for optimizing composition
